My God-Inspired Journey: An Autobiography chronicles the life of Gwendolin Tross, A.A., from her foundational years at the British Guyana Education Trust, through her pursuit of higher education at the Georgetown Hospital School of Nursing, Rush Green Hospital, the University of the West Indies, and the University of Liverpool, to her
appointment as head of the Nursing Programme at the University of Guyana. Her dedication to the nursing profession and to her homeland, Guyana, saw her not only return to Guyana to live but also make an indelible contribution to the advancement of the profession through the development of the BSc Nursing Programme at the University of Guyana (UG) and the creation of the Gwen Tross Research Foundation. This illustrious journey that saw her living in several countries and battling and recovering from cancer four times could not have been possible without the support of her husband, Samuel Tross, her children, extended family, friends, and, most importantly, God.

The author, Gwendolin Tross, affectionately known as Sister Tross, a Nurse Tutor with exceptional qualities and modesty, modelled motherhood for students in the nursing profession in Guyana and in England. Accounts from students and peers suggest that she is loved for her excellent performance, both in the classroom and in the hospital settings.
My years as a student at the University of Guyana provided me with the opportunity to meet this exceptional leader and phenomenal woman, who, in my view, modelled sound family values and altruism, hallmark of her humility. With her experience, and wide knowledge of several subject matters, I have no doubt that the stories chronicled in this book will make it a best seller, and an excellent gift for birthdays or other anniversaries.
